  • Aquaculture Network Information Center (AquaNIC)
    AquaNIC serves as a gateway to electronic aquaculture resources.  The extremely useful site includes information on aquaculture species and systems; aquaculture discussion groups; aquaculture contacts; a vast web site list; international, federal, regional, state, and association publications; software, photos, slide sets, and videos; job and classified ads; calendars of events; aquaculture news; online aquaculture courses; and more.
  • Florida Sea Grant
    Florida Sea Grant operates through a statewide university-based research, education, and extension partnership of state and federal agencies, businesses, and citizens.  It's mission is to enhance the practical use and conservation of coastal and marine resources to create a sustainable economy and environment.
  • Harbor Branch Aquaculture Center for Training, Education, and Demonstration
    Harbor Branch ACTED provides hands-on training and education programs designed to support competitive and sustainable aquaculture industries.
  • Hillsborough Community College--Aquaculture Program
    The Brandon campus of HCC, located in the heart of the tropical fish farm industry, offers an Associate of Science Degree in aquaculture.  It's objective is to provide students with the knowledge and skills for employment in the aquaculture industry.
  • Indian River Community College
    IRCC offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree with a certificate in Aquaculture Technology.  The program is designed for students who wish to enter the industry at a mid-management level after two years of college.
  • National Sea Grant Library
    The National Library is an archive of Sea Grant-funded documents that cover a wide variety of subjects including oceanography, marine education, aquaculture, fisheries, limnology, coastal zone management, marine recreation, and law.
  • Seafood HACCP Alliance Internet Training Course
    This Internet Training Course provides an alternative way for individuals from the seafood and aquaculture industries, as well as the regulatory community, to receive HACCP training when they need it.
  • Southern Regional Aquaculture Center
    The Regional Aquaculture centers encourage cooperative and collaborative research and extension education programs in aquaculture having regional or national application.  SRAC also has a large number of aquaculture publications geared toward the current or potential aquaculturist.
  • University of Florida
    UF is a major land-grand and sea-grant research university.  UF is among the nation's most academically diverse public universities.  It has a long history of established programs in international education, research, extension, and service.
  • University of Florida Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants
    The UF Center for Aquatic Invasive Plants is a research center dedicated to aquatic plant management and is also the home of the extremely extensive Aquatic, Wetland, and Invasive Plant Information Retrieval System (APIRS), the world's largest information resource of its kind.
  • University of Florida, Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences
    UF FAS is a department within the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences at UF.  It's mission is to advance basic and applied knowledge of the biological structure, function, and productivity of Florida's freshwater, estuarine, and marine ecosystems.  Knowledge from their research programs promotes the wise management of Florida's aquatic biological resources, aquaculture, and the environmentally-sound use of the state's overall water resources.
  • University of Florida Electronic Data Information Source (EDIS)
    EDIS is the source for all extension publications released by the University of Florida.  Aquaculture publications can be found under Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences as well as Veterinary Medicine.  Choose "Department Collections" on the home page and then the appropriate department.
  • University of Florida, Florida Shellfish Aquaculture Extension
    This site provides information on UF's shellfish aquaculture extension program.  The site contains information about clam farming, updates on research and extension projects, current supplier lists and a variety of other materials. Numerous state and national publications addressing shellfish aquaculture, including the Florida Shellfish Aquaculture Extension Program's quarterly newsletter The Bivalve Bulletin, are directly accessible through this site.
  • University of Florida, Food and Resource Economics Department
    UF FRED, a department within the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, deals with problems that are important to decision-making activities in both the public and private sectors.  The nature and scope of research activities is diverse including farm management, finance, production economics, commodity marketing, international agricultural trade, agricultural and environmental law, rural and community development, economic impact analysis, marine economics, and more.
  • University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences
    UF IFAS develops knowledge in agricultural resources, human resources, natural resources, and life sciences and makes that knowledge accessible to sustain and enhance the quality of human life in Florida.
