Dear Florida Aquaculture Professional,
The Florida Aquaculture Association (FAA) requests your assistance with an important industry assessment to inform the Florida Legislature as it evaluates the transition to lower-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants, including A2L refrigerants, within Florida's agricultural food processing and cold chain industries.
The Legislature's Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA) is conducting this statewide readiness assessment. The study examines equipment replacement needs, workforce availability, safety considerations, insurance requirements, and the potential economic impacts on Florida businesses. Because the aquaculture industry has unique refrigeration and temperature-control requirements, your participation is essential to ensure policymakers understand our operational realities.
